I was born in 1967 in Spokane, Washington, USA.

When I was about ten my family moved from the city out to the country and I started school in Freeman, Washington. That's when I started playing in the elementry school band on the snare drum. I think our first hit was, "When the saints come marching in."

About the same time I entered High School, my dad bought my brother Kurt and I a drum kit.

I used to play the kit for the school pep band (they are the guys that play at school events like basketball and football games). I formed a band with some friends, and we would try our hand at school dances and assemblies.

Once I graduated High School, I moved around a bit. I lived in San Antonio - Texas, Brittany in France, Los Angeles California and London - England. Everywhere I went I brought a pair of drum sticks.

One fateful day at the Richmond Rock 'n' Roll club I overheard Pete Hutton discussing the band he was forming with Barry Argent. Pete mentioned he needed a drummer and I happened to be right there.
